Veterans Day Dinner 2007
I would like to thank everyone who helped make this a tremendous Veterans Day dinner. Colleen had the
banquet room absolutely radiant in red, white and blue, Dar and her staff prepared a meal fit for a King or
Queen, Mark and our beautiful "Ladies" from the auxiliary, Sue P,Sue S, Kim,and Patty where all dashing and
brilliant as our servers and Jeremy kept everyone from going thirsty, with a smile. Thank you all for going above
and beyond the call of duty, You all make my job as a first year Commander easier than it should be, you are
the best and I am lucky and blessed to have you as members of our great Post 143 !!.
Thanks to Jack Murray for his always engaging speech and for saying what we all have on our minds.
A special thanks to John Henderson for providing the vintage World War II Jeep for the wonderful photo op's
and trips down memory lane.
And last but certainly not least thank you to all our proud Veterans who joined us for this gala evening. Your
service is never forgotten because we wouldn't be here enjoying this commoraderie without the sacrafices you
made for the United State of America in great times of need. World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War,Persian
Gulf War, Grenada Invasion,Panama Invasion and the current Iraq War on terror were all represented in our
room by members of our Post, from our proud little bourough of New Cumberland. When Uncle Sam called or
calls, we deliver our finest men and women without reserve. You are all Hero's. Thank you from the bottom of
my heart and soul.
We also will never forget our fallen comorades who gave the ultimate sacrafice for all of us. Rest in peace
our brothers in arms....and may all our POW/MIA's eventually find there way home.
God bless you all, and God Bless America.
Commander Friz
