New Cumberland PA December 9, 2005. - American Legion Post 143 will be delivering toys to the Marine Corps Toys
for Tots Drive at the Capital City Mall on Saturday December 10, leaving the Post in New Cumberland at 12:30 PM. We
will deliver the toys in a 24 Foot truck donated by Andy Pearlman of Lemoyne Sleeper.

We will be escorted to the Mall by the New Cumberland Fire and Police Department, Federal Fire Department DDSP
New Cumberland and the Marine Leathernecks Motorcycle Club led by our Sergeant At Arms, Kevin McCartin.

Post 143 has been very active with the Toys for Tots program over the years. Last year we raised over $ 4,000 for the
program and have exceeded that for this years drive. Thanks to the aluminum recycling efforts of our Home
Association President Gary Reneker and our Commander Dave Taylor as well as contributions from our membership,
we are able to fill the 24 foot truck with Christmas joy. Our commander stresses “Community, Sate and Nation”. A
special thanks goes to our members who helped us also send a $10,000 check to the American Red Cross for the
Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund this year.

This event is very special to our Post and our members and we would feel it an honor if you would consider this a
newsworthy community event and provide coverage for your newspaper. It truly is an awesome spectacle to see as we
parade though New Cumberland with sirens blaring, then with assists from Lemoyne and Lower Allen Police and road
marshalling by the Marine Leathernecks Motorcycle Club we parade into the Capital City Mall.

We are humbled and honored to make such a significant contribution to a truly wonderful cause. Please feel free to
contact Dave or Dennis with any questions or concerns. Thank you in advance for your consideration
